Raith Rovers is delighted to announce that Ross Millen has sealed a deal to return to the club. The right-back joins us following the expiry of his contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, signing an 1-year deal. A very familiar face to Rovers supporters, Ross made a memorable impact during his first spell in Kirkcaldy, from 2022 to 2024. He will now link up once again with his father, Assistant Manager Andy Millen. Ready to get going, Ross, said: “I’m delighted to be back. I’m so happy to return to a place where I really enjoyed my football, and I’m looking forward to the season ahead with this group. “Dougie played a big part in me coming back. The conversations I had with him made me feel that this was a place where I was wanted. It’s a fresh start, and I understand his morals and values, they align with mine. “I wouldn’t have come back if I hadn’t enjoyed my time here. I’ve got so many great memories from my previous spell. We had a fantastic support and some really good times, and the fans who followed us home and away were incredible. If we can get back to that, it can only be a positive for the team and the club going forward.” The right-back began his career with Dunfermline Athletic, making more than 50 appearances before departing in 2015. Spells with Livingston, Clyde and Queen’s Park followed, where he impressed enough to secure a move to Premiership side Kilmarnock. After three seasons with Killie and a year with Scunthorpe United, Ross arrived at Stark’s Park in 2022. A near ever-present during his first season with the club, he quickly became a fans’ favourite thanks to his attacking quality, overlapping runs and tenacity. He carried that form into the 2023/24 campaign, making a number of memorable contributions throughout the season, including that unforgettable penalty against Queen’s Park. After leaving the club in 2024, Ross spent a season with Morecambe in the EFL before joining Inverness Caledonian Thistle last summer, where he played an important role in their League One title-winning campaign. Now, Ross returns to Kirkcaldy ready to make his mark once again and pick up where he left off. Welcome back to the Rovers, Ross.
